Introduction to the Programme

INTI College Sarawak established its Tourism Programme in April 1997, in-line with the government's effort to enhance the tourism industry in the country.


Diploma in Tourism KP/BPSG(SM2124)05/06
The diploma in Tourism programme is a seven (7) semester, full-time course with intakes in May, September, and January.

Student In their final semester will be involved with practical hands-on training in the Tourism Industries and upon successful completion, student will be awarded a Diploma in Tourism certificate by the College. On completing the course successfully, the Diploma students may continue their studies to a degree level by using the INTI Diploma in Tourism for admission into one of the INTI's seven partner Universities in the UK, New Zealand, Australia, and Switzerland.

The Diploma in Tourism programme is most appealing to student because of the variety of job prospects available; e.g the Airline industry the Hospitality Industry, the Cruise Lines, Travel Agencies and Tour Operations, Tour Guides, Marketing Officers, Public Relations Officers plus the many Tourism boards both in Malaysia and abroad. the studens may eventually wish to open their own businesses.

Compulsory
The programme requires students to complete one semester of Industrial Attachment with local tourism operations which will take place during the final semester of their studies.
