The English Proficiency Programme consists of 2 levels: Elementary and Intermediate. A student is placed in the appropriate level when he/she enters INTI College Sarawak based on his/her score on the English Placement Test given upon entry. Each level of the course is conducted in 1 full semester and has 20 hours of study per week; 4 hours daily, Monday through Friday. The course work includes the following components, which are taught in an intergrated manner;

The programme is designed to enable students to develop basic writing skills, an understanding of the parts of speech and sentence patterns, reading skills and an ability to interpret and write information accurately, vocabulary skills to enhance effective learning and communcating on everyday topics, and effective listening and speaking skills. After completing the programme, students will be equipped to enter into a regular academic programme of undergraduate study at INTI College Sarawak. |
