The vigorous industrial growth of the country is brought about by strong domestic demands and substantial inflow of foreign investments. The outcome of this is that engineers in various disciplines undoubtedly play an increasingly important role in meeting the challenges ahead. Mechanical Engineering is a discipline that involves the design, construction, commissioning, testing and implementation of machines and integrated structures. Mechanical engineers ensure that energy is used to spur the economic growth of the community via application of principles governing the operations of power-producing mechanisms such as thermal, hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical. The course has been designed with the input from universities from abroad and professional bodies to train and equip students with sound technical knowledge and practical skills pertaining to the Mechanical Engineering profession. It aims to produce graduates who are independent and confident to be absorbed into the working world or seek professional qualifications locally or overseas. Diploma holders can join the UK degree transfer programmes, or spend 2 years in any of our partner universities in Australia, New Zealand, UK.
