Architecture is the art and science of building. The main focus of our Diploma in Architecture programme is the architecture concept & design studio where design & creativity skills are developed. Design studio projects are supported by lectures in theory & historical studies and building technology and contract administration. Our programme is iterative in nature with a multi-disciplinary approach towards design excellence that is supported by staff with backgrounds in building plans & design, landscape & urban design, interior architecture & construction supervision.
The scale & complexity of design projects increase as you progress from the initial to the final semester of the programme. Assessment of studio work is based on portfolio review at the end of each semester. Other modules are assessed by a combination of examinations & courseworks.
Our architecture education provides innovative and resourceful graduates with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a wide range of allied design activities, in addition to the mainstream of building design. Alternatively, our Diploma graduates can also spend 1 to 2 years in universities in the UK & Australia to obtain the basic Bachelor degree in architecture / environment / building related disciplines and then spend another 2 to 3 years to obtain the Bachelor of Architecture at professional level.
