With the vigorous industrial growth of the country, brought about by strong domestic demands and substantial inflow of foreign investments, engineers in various disciplines undoubtedly play an important role in meeting the challenges ahead.

Civil engineers, professionals and semi-professionals alike hold the key to the implementation of industrial projects, construction of buildings, highways, airports, foundations, coastal facilities, bridges, dams, environmental control systems and water supply and purification systems. The major prepares students to become involved in the conception, planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of these important public facilities.

The course has been designed with inputs from universities abroad and professional bodies to train and equip students with sound technical knowledge and practical skills pertaining to the Civil Engineering profession. It aims to produce graduates who are independent and confident to be absorbed into the working world or to seek professional qualifications locally or overseas.

Diploma holders can join the UK degree transfer programmes, or spend 2 years in any of our partner universities in Australia, New Zealand and UK. All these pathways will lead to the award of Bachelor of Engineering degree.
