The Certificate in Engineering Science is specially designed for Secondary / High Schools' students who have studied the Arts subjects but wanted to switch their career path to Engineering & Technology when pursuing their higher studies. This programme is also suitable for science-stream students who want to further strengthen their foundations in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Computing & Technical Drawing.

The programme is both lecture & laboratory based. Students will spend a substantial of the time in laboratory learning the hands on & practical aspects of the subjects. Students who completed the Certificate in Engineering Science can opt to work in the industry as Laboratory or Technical Assistants. They can also pursue their higher studies by joining the INTI Diploma in Engineering in Civil, Electrical & Electronic, and Mechanical and then proceed on to do their Bachelor of Engineering, and eventually qualify as an Engineer.
