The Southern Cross University Master of Business Administration (MBA) at INTI College Sarawak provides the opportunity to many students to be exposed to the management of major business functions and development of business strategy. The delivery utilizes high-quality study materials that are designed to emphasize the link between conceptual knowledge and real-world practice. The programme is designed to build individual management skills with a focus on the application of knowledge in business organizations.

This programme has attracted many working adults from here and abroad, such as from Indonesia, China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Mongolia and Nigeria, which is a good mix of students, multi-cultural, who have high interest to obtain world-class postgraduate education and enhance their managerial skills.

Recently a dynamic, one-day Executive Development Workshop was conducted by INTI College Sarawak for the MBA students led by two well-experienced facilitators, Mr Boh Boon Chiang who is the Principal of INTI College Sarawak and Dr Sia who is a Senior Director of the Student Services Division in INTI International University College. A total of 26 students from different professions and cultures attended the workshop.

According to an existing MBA student from Mongolia, Otgonbayar Odonchimeg “the MBA is affordable and the quality is the same as studying in Australia. I don’t come from a business background and this programme has provided me the knowledge to be successful. Pursuing the Southern Cross University MBA in INTI College Sarawak, Kuching provides me the opportunity to learn to communicate better and experience different cultures”.

This programme is very challenging and has taught me a lot in critical thinking and problem solving. The workshop conducted recently has taught me to be a good team player. When I go back to my job in the future, I will be able to practice what I have learnt from the workshop. I have really enjoyed the workshop. It enables me to communicate better with my team members and now we work closer than ever after this workshop.

The building of a team begins with the gathering together of a group of people with a common goal. The topics of the one-day workshop presented were in interactive styles and was designed to assist the students to understand themselves better and to become a more dynamic leaders, speakers and presenters. This workshop also assessed their current leadership skills and guided them on ways to improve their communication skills and confidence. It is the Mutual Trust and Respect that facilitates progress towards the achievement of team goals. With the same goal, Southern Cross MBA programme at INTI College Sarawak hopes to share with all students the culture of life-long learning.
