Academic Year

Trimesters commence in January, May and September. Each trimester is of 15 weeks duration (13 weeks study period and two weeks examination period). This is the normal duration of a semester at Australian universities. A general guide to the timing of the trimester year is as follows:

• Trimester A: mid January to late April
• Trimester B: early May to mid August
• Trimester C: early September to mid December

Early Exit Point

Students who attempt the MBA but are unable to continue with the program after completing four units may apply to the graduate with the award of Graduate Certificate in Business Administration; or after completing eight units, with the award of Graduate diploma in Business Administration.

Compulsory Core Units

All 6 compulsory core unites must be completed:

• Foundations of Management
• Accounting and Finance for Managers
• Strategic Information Systems
• Marketing Management
• Leading and Managing People
• Strategic of Management (students should complete Foundations of Management unit before undertaking this unit).
