Teaching Method

Class times and teaching methods will vary between locations, however most locations will offer up to 36 hours of lecturers of each unit taught by qualified local lecturer and supporting workshops conducted by visiting Southern Cross University academic staff, All local lecturers are approved by the Director, Graduate College of Management, to teach MBA units.


Learning Resources

In addition to class participation or learning resource include: printed study materials and supplementary readings. Students also have access to an online website dedicated to each unit of study. These websites are accessed through the University’s ‘MySCU’ intranet facility and provide additional up-to-the-minute information and an opportunity for communication between students and between students and tutor.

All Southern Cross University students have 24 hour, seven-day-a-week access to a large number of journal databases and more than 8,000 electronic publications, including full-text electronic book available through ‘e-library’. Students can electronically access journal and newspaper articles, electronic books, subject guides, interactive online tutorials, virtual reference information, statistics, company reports and various search engines.


Assessment Method

The MBA program has been designed to incorporate progressive assessment and examinations. Students are assess in each unit on the basis of written and oral assignments. These assignments may include business reports, case studies, presentations and research projects. Full details of assignments are contained in the study guide for each unit.
